From January to March 2012, Better Business Bureau’s complaint statistics reveal that different states—Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington—attract different industry complaint patterns.
Aside from auto dealers, auto repair companies, contractors and other common categories on the top 20 most-complained-about industries list, BBB has identified that:
Complaints on Alaska-based companies center on motor homes, hotels, credit unions and jewelers: akorww.bbb.org/top20ak. Meat sales are also fixed to Alaska’s list.
Commonly, complaints on Oregon-based companies correlate with payday loans and financial services: akorww.bbb.org/top20or. Mattresses also sprang on to Oregon’s list.
Most complaints on Washington-based companies concern cellular telephones, computer software and Internet services: akorww.bbb.org/top20wa. Tax return preparation is not exempt from Washington’s list.
